The aims of the Association are set down in paragraph § 2 of the rules:

Purpose of the association is the participation in, and promotion of sea kayaking through:

a. Furtherance of our interests with the local maritime authorities and other bodies
b. Organization of meetings and tours
c. Information exchange domestically and overseas
d. Training in water safety, equipment and planning
e. Influence in the development of boats and equipment
f. Nature conservation
